Using Your Georeferenced SightMap

Location awareness has been added to your SightMap – now what?  In order to ensure that anyone who visits your property can see their location and movement on their device, share the helpful steps below. Our georeferenced SightMaps are perfect for: leasing, self guided touring, maintenance and deliveries.

Follow these three steps to enable location services (blue dot) for your iPhone or iPad

  1. Navigate to “settings”, then “privacy”, then “location services”
  2. Move the slider to the right to “turn on” location services
  3. Location services are “on” when the slider shows green

Note: Your iOS device may use Wi-Fi/Bluetooth to determine your location. GPS and cellular location are available on iPhone/iPad (Wi-Fi and cellular) models.

Follow these three steps to enable location services for Android:

  1. Navigate to your “settings” menu
  2. Tap “location services” Location Services.
  3. Move the slider to the “on” position to “allow access to my location”

Note: the high accuracy mode will deliver the most accurate location information if you are using GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular networks to determine your location.

I’m a Chrome user – why does the geolocation feature not work on my integrated SightMap?

Chrome and Chromium based browsers have a new feature policy for embedded content. In order for embedded content, like an IFrame, to access device features such as location services, they must be explicitly allowed by the webpage.  Please review our integration FAQ documentation here.
